That's me. Doing what I do. My favorite shoots are when I get to be outside in the sun, wind in my hair, wearing yoga pants and flip flops. Sharing photos of myself and talking about me is not something I do very often. There is definitely some weird element of fear involved - but I firmly believe in busting out of your comfort zone on a daily basis, so here I am, talking about me.
I'm Kali. I love a great pair of cheap aviators and any excuse to cover dirty hair with a good beanie. Any hat will do really - especially the ones that are really broken in and belong to my husband. I am obsessed with driving my jeep, so will always volunteer to drive. I used to swear I would only ever drive a two door wrangler. It was my happy place when the top was off. Turns out carseats aren't the easiest to get in and out, so I had to trade in for a four door. Luckily, it is still just as fun to drive.
I'm a new momma with the coolest kid. No I'm not biased, she really is. Meet her and you will see. I'm a yogi at heart that will do anything for a good sweat, especially if it involves being outside, bonus if it involves a board... snowboard, wakeboard, surfboard, skateboard... you get it. My nieces are exceptionally more talented on anything involving a board than me, so it is my life goal to "grow up" to be just like them. I think the label of "adult" can be our biggest downfall, and we all need to bring out the heart and soul of our inner kid. They are way more fun, and definitely better at life.
I am a foodie. My entire day revolves around when and what I get to eat next. Blame it on growing up working in restaurants and a dad who loves to eat out. There is also nothing quite like getting all of the dishes in the kitchen dirty to make the best home cooked meal - and yes, please let me use the grill. I don't need the hottest restaurant in the trendiest city. I just like good food, really love when it comes from awesome people, and it always tastes better when I'm surrounded by family.
Collaborating with rad humans is what gets me out of bed in the morning, especially when I get to bring my camera along, even better when I can not put makeup and not feel bad about it. You see, it's not what is on the other side of my lens that fills my passion. It's the other person who is part of the creation. They are what the magic is all about. So let's grab coffee and talk about the awesome things we could create together. Or we could eat nachos... I love nachos.
